“Melody People” - OUT 30.10.2026

Roni Eytan stands among a rare lineage of harmonica innovators in jazz — following in the footsteps of Larry Adler and Toots Thielemans — and now redefines the instrument's role in jazz and world music with his debut as a leader, Melody People. Produced by acclaimed pianist Shai Maestro, the album was written for a chamber-like acoustic ensemble featuring Maestro, guitarist Nitzan Bar, bassist Barak Mori and drummer Daniel Dor, with guest cellist Mayu Shviro.

An homage to Eytan's grandfather, a storyteller who passed melodies down through generations, the record explores how folklore and personal memory take new shape in a globalized world. Drawing on jazz, Middle Eastern, North African and Jewish traditions, Eytan brings his signature microtonal harmonica — an instrument he helped pioneer — into conversation with cinematic textures and singing melodies. The first single, "Hopeful," arrives September 25th, offering an early glimpse into the album's world before its full release on October 30, 2026.
